Chris and Kiley’s special day sure was a spectacular one! The two planned their nuptials in their hometown of Hebron, NE, which of course is my home base, too. Needless to say, it was a nice change of pace to not have to leave at the crack of dawn to get on the road for this one. 😉

The best way I can describe the overall feel of their day is “simple elegance.” All the little details were so beautiful and well thought out, yet nothing took away the attention from the couple and the joyful events around their union. The ceremony was quaint, with a stunning chandelier and carefully decorated hexagon arch. Tables at the reception featured gorgeous vintage lanterns, candlelight of every shape and size, and loads of lovely greenery.

Now, one of my favorite parts of being a wedding photographer is that bit of excitement around never fully knowing what’s going to be offered to you creatively-wise. I was ecstatic to find a giant bay window at the couple’s home for getting the bride ready, glowing trees for our wedding party, and an AMAZING Nebraska sunset for perfect evening portraits. Since sunset these days is around 7:30 - 8 PM, Chris and Kiley were kind enough not to hate me too much for interrupting their dinner to run outside!! But if you ask me - it was totally worth it.

It was so hard to narrow it down to just a few, but I hope you’ll love some of my favorites from the Ernst’s big day. Enjoy!…

You two have a very unique bond and I can’t wait to see where it takes you from here.
