Newborn DUE DATES should be booked 3+ months in advance. Contract and non-refundable down payment are required to do so. (Both completed online.) We’ll select an exact date after baby has arrived, ideally within 2-weeks of delivery. The remaining balance will be due the day of your session, or upon request, clients are also welcome to make payments while they wait for their little one to arrive.

There’s a million emotions as you welcome your babe. Excitement, anxiety, joy, and maybe even a little worry. Which is why I value an all inclusive session to make this part of welcoming your new baby easy and stress-free.

If we haven’t had an opportunity to work together in the past, or even if we have, I highly recommend a maternity session. Not only will it allow us to get to know each other before baby arrives, but reliving the time you carried your child will be moments you cherish for life.

My newborn sessions are prioritized around being very relaxed, safe, and focused on baby. During your pregnancy I'll have you complete a brief questionnaire about your session sets and goals. So the studio will be roughly set up when you arrive. We'll do a walk through of the plans and made changes where needed. Mom and Dad can hang out on the couch while I work through each set with your baby.

Newborn sessions will take approximately 2-3 hours. This longer time frame allows for feeding breaks and getting baby to sleep for a safer, stress-free experience. Most the session will focus on baby, but parents may choose to use the first or last 30 to 45 minutes for family and\or siblings.

We’ll use both natural window light, and the studio’s large diffused artificial lights to give your portraits a soft natural glow.

Parents can take a deep breath knowing, as part of their enriched experience, your session investment includes access to my large stash of buckets, beds, baskets, bowls, furs, blankets, layer fabrics, wraps, prop outfits, headbands and hats. These are kept on hand to style your shoot, but also to prevent clients from having to purchase pricey, specialty items that will only fit their babe for a short period of time. If there is, however, anything you want to include that is personalized, meaningful or themed, please feel free to bring items along to collaborate!

As part of your statement experience, clients should expect that all images will be finished with my signature post production style. My portraits take on a highly contrasted, color-rich, timeless look. To some they may even look a bit dream-like! You’ll find I put my whole heart into carefully balancing color, and making your best features pop.

I’ll be looking to balance our session between posed and gently cued candids that are both fine art worthy, and speak to the emotion of the heart.
