New Year, New Me?....Ehhhh.

That’s the thrill of a new year isn’t it? Getting ready to become something new, or something better. But as this new year kicks off I’ve been thinking less about a “new me” and more about what my business is now, and reflecting on why I’m still SO in love with my old habits.

Now friends, I have goals for 2021. Soooo many goals. As I’m sure so do you. But before you jump into those new bigger better plans, I’d encourage you to take some time to reflect on your own current growth and abilities, too. So today’s blog is a twist on an “about me,” by speaking about some of things I think you’ll REALLY love about my business, and my portraits style, as is.

THE NOEL PORTRAIT STYLE

I wish we could have this talk in person, or you could feel what I feel. After all, they say, “People look best when they talk about something they really love with passion in their eyes.”

The second I walk into a setting, (sometimes even long before then,) I already have a general vision in mind of what the portrait(s) should\will look like. All the way down to the post produced finished look.

I can sum up my style to about 3-4 words: Timelessly-unique and contrasted.

When you look at your wedding photos, I want you to see the intense real-life color of your eye and lip color as you go in for “just one more kiss.” I want BOTH the highlights and shadows to pop and play their role in every image. I want you to have a rare portrait that will still also be suitable and relevant for years to come. Rich true-to-life colors, deep contrasts (in color and black and white,) and an extraordinary perspective paired with classic settings. My portrait style is no doubt one-of-a-kind.

A BUSINESS SIDE OF BUSINESS YOU’LL TOTALLY DIG.

For anyone who already knows me well, they can attest that I’m just a bit obsessive compulsive. While that has its drawbacks, it’s also what has helped bring my business to the high standards I {try very hard} to uphold.

In a world that barely knows the meaning of the word(s), I strive for a high level of professionalism and attentive customer service. Because if it wasn’t for my client's confidence, and trust in what I do, the business simply wouldn’t exist. This means putting my people first 99% of the time when it comes to day to day work activities. (The other 1% is for when I have to do tax paperwork so the IRS doesn’t visit. 😉I kid, I kid.)

To aid in my dedication to clients is the fact that I’m a full-time artist. Sometimes that’s a scary concept, but I honestly wouldn’t have it any other way. Of course I have a family, need to sleep, and occasionally stop to fill up on coffee, but my creative services are my workweek through and through. (And sometimes long after hours, too!)

Lastly, what I hope every client, or future client, will take away after a visit with me is that ultimately you are my second family. I literally laugh with you, cry with you, celebrate your highs, and carry your lows with me long after we create. I capture the start of your marriage, document your child’s first moments, and the fleeting years as your family changes.

I see it all, and I see you.

In return, I welcome you all to take part in a little bit of my story, too. I hope you’ll all continue on, or join in, my Noel Photography and Design family! There’s perhaps a bit of bias, but I think it’s a pretty special type of community. So here’s to a new year, new adventures and an old me.
