Otis | Nebraska Newborn Photographer

The thing I love most about newborn sessions is, ironically, the exact opposite reason I love to photograph weddings: They’re calm, slow, and relaxing. It’s the type of session where you really use every minute to soak up the precious details of such a tiny, unique soul.

Otis arrived into this world a little early; No doubt he was just too excited to meet his family. I got to meet him at just 15 days new. His mommy and daddy were one of my a bridal couples, so it was fun to see them step into parenthood; And gosh, I hope I look as natural as they do when it comes to taking care of a tiny human. ❤️

Mommy filled up his belly, we got him into his first “outfit,” and started to rock him to sleep. He must have been ready to ham it up, because as he drifted off, little smiles started coming in waves. He even let me catch a few as we worked! Mom and Dad brought along his special blankie that added the perfect personal touch to a few of his portraits. But what really got me were those long, precious eyelashes that softly fluttered while he slept.

Friends, take a peek at a few of my favorites from this “sleepy bear’s” session, and try not to melt into a puddle of mush.

Paige & Dallas-
You have been blessed with such a sweet, hansom little boy. (As if I have to tell you!) Thank you for putting your heart in your hands and sharing it with me. I so appreciate your trust in me to capture some of Otis’s first moments in this world. I pray your days ahead are full of wonder, giggles and love, and that your nights hold lots of cuddles, reflection and SLEEP! Enjoy these fleeting days watching and helping him grow, as they always go too fast.
🥰

Cheers to Parenthood!
