Photographing weddings always makes me fall in love again; With my couple, with my job, with my own spouse, with life, and with love itself. Even after years of dating, weddings are new beginnings. And I am a sucker for a good new beginning.

Natasha and Elliot came to me about a year ago to share their love story, and to ask me to capture their special day. After chatting about their plans, I admittedly felt some bias excitement, as my own wedding the year before was also in May, with a dusty blue and neutral color scheme. But these two came up with the most beautiful and unique way to add a western vibe throughout their accessories and decor.

It’s always my favorite when I have a full day with couples. The amount of detail we can capture in 12-hours is unbelievable. (As you’re about to see!) Not to mention, it leaves extra wiggle room in the timeline for unexpected changes. The day started and ended in Exeter, NE. Elliot and Natasha were married in the Catholic Church. After saying “I DO” to forever, we hopped on the Tailored Dreams party bus to tour the countryside before heading back to the Exeter Legion hall.

The legion hall was adorned with centerpieces of glass vases, dusty blue floral and cowhide fabric layers. Their cake featured greenery topped tiers, and in true western style, a steer skull cake topper! But most importantly, the hall was filled with an abundance of love from all of their friends and family; Who ready to eat, drink, and DANCE!

As the perfect ending to a perfect day, Natasha and Elliot let me steal them away from their guests for a bit during golden hour. We used this time to allow the them to soak up the evening sun, and to give just the two of them a few short moments to celebrate the joy of their marriage. ❤️

I hope you enjoy these special highlights from the new Mr. & Mrs. Erdkamp. Narrowing them down for the blog was nearly impossible. So I’m proud when I say I got it down to just under 100 favorites. 😍
