The year seems to be winding down extra quickly during this season, which always makes me a bit nostalgic. Especially when I’m soaking in the images of a beautiful wedding day that happens to be my final wedding day of the year. Whitney and Trevor tied the knot in Fillmore county on November 12, 2022. Like many late fall and winter weddings in Nebraska, it always seems to be oddly warm or bitter cold; There’s rarely an in between. Of course, we had to hit bitter cold side of the spectrum!

This wedding day had so many special details that I can’t wait to dive into, but what really blew me away were the people and their absolute love for Whitney and Trevor. It was obvious how everyone involved was so dedicated to giving them the perfect day. And it was indeed absolutely perfect.

Whitney had all her details carefully collected for me, and I was absolutely swooning over her unique color scheme of desert rose pinks, and pops of blue-greens. Her dress was adorned in a stunning lace, the church alter dripped in florals, and don’t even get me started on the reception! Crystal chandeliers hung down the dance floor, colorful floral and wood accents filled the tables, and large wood backdrops stood stately behind some of the main tables.

The day never reached more than 38 degrees, so I have to give this wedding party all the props in the world for sticking it out through portraits. From formal portraits to champagne pops and sunset glows you’d never know just how cold it was by looking. We soaked in the reception traditions of cake, speeches and dances; And as a total surprise to him, the bride added an additional special dance with her uncle!

The groom made sure to bring along the right “tools” for his job to remove the garter, and the significant other of the bouquet toss winner made a great escape! LOL. As my day with them came to a close I just had to sneak in one more special moment with Whitney and Trevor; But by 9 PM it was only about 18 degrees outside. So in leu of an outdoor night shot the couple allowed me to clear the dance floor for one last hurrah. A one-of-a-kind, glowing dance floor portrait. If I do say so myself, taking a minute for this in the middle of all the excitement was absolutely worth it! ❤️
